Bruce Yarnell

 

 

"A baritone who came to opera via the musical comedy stage,

television and films. He starred with Ethel Merman in the recent

successful revival of "Annie get your gun", and "The happiest

girl in the world", and was featured in "Camelot" on Brodway.

Last year he appeared on TVas Little John in a production of

"Robin Hood".Also in this medium he has frequently appeared

on the "Today", and "Tonight" shows while appearing also in

such TV spectaculars as: "Annie get your gun", "Rosalinda",

 as guest star in the "Bonanza" series and the lead role in the movie,

"Irma la douce", and had made numerous appearances

in concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, and in Minneapolis.

His operatic performances include lead roles with Sarah Caldwell's

American National Opera Company in "Tosca" and "Lulu"

and supporting roles with the Western Opera Company.

This evening he is making his debut with the Philadelphia Grand."
